Spaghetti & GP's Meatballs
Our famous meatballs over a tangle of spaghetti in slow-simmered marinara.
For more than forty years, the Politis family has set the table for Hudson County — handmade Italian classics, chops off the grill, and the kind of welcome you only get from a place that's known the neighborhood for generations.
The Politis family has been feeding Hudson County since 1932, when it all began at the Lackawanna in the Hoboken Terminal. In 1977, GP's found its forever home here on 69th Street, and we haven't looked back since.
Three generations later, the recipes are the same, the welcome is warmer than ever, and the candles are still lit every night we're open.
Old-world recipes, made by hand the way they've always been. Here are a few the neighborhood won't let us take off the menu.

Our famous meatballs over a tangle of spaghetti in slow-simmered marinara.

Pounded thin, golden and crisp, crowned with a bright arugula & tomato salad.

Baked on the half shell with garlic, herbs, and a toasted breadcrumb finish.
Whether it's your first visit or your four-hundredth, you walk into a room that's genuinely glad to see you. That's not a policy — it's just who we are.
The classics taste the way they did in 1977 because we never went looking for a shortcut. Sauce simmered slow, cutlets pounded by hand, nothing rushed.
Dark wood, white linen, a well-poured glass of red. Dinner here is meant to be lingered over — so pour another and stay a while.
Visit Hudson County stopped by to film what we do. Grab a few minutes and meet the room, the plates, and the family behind GP's.

Birthdays, anniversaries, business dinners, the holidays — host it in our room, or let us bring GP's to you. Tell us what you're celebrating and we'll handle the rest.
Tucked into the neighborhood, a few minutes from the cliffs and the city skyline. Free street parking, a warm room, and a table waiting.
